Vegemite to re-make iconic advertisement

Vegemite is re-making its iconic Happy Little Vegemite advertisement, and giving everyday Australians the chance to be a part of its history, inviting the next generation of Happy Little Vegemites to audition for a once in a lifetime role.

The Happy Little Vegemites advertisement is an iconic part of Australian culture, and from today, the children of Australia will have a chance to write themselves into Vegemite’s – and the country’s – history books.

“Vegemite is today opening a national casting call, inviting the children of Australia aged between six to 12 years’ old to audition to feature in its remake of its iconic Happy Little Vegemites ad,” says Vegemite Marketing Manager Jess Hoare.

“Vegemite has spread so much joy and happiness across the nation over the last 100 years, and we’re honoured to raise a toast to the Aussie icon by remaking the Happy Little Vegemites advertisement. We can’t wait to see the remake embraced by Aussies for many more years to come.”

To apply, email Studio-P with the child’s full name, age, suburb, state, and a recent photo to vegemite@studio-p.com.au. All details regarding the opportunity, including terms and conditions, will be supplied upon application.

Kids can apply from anywhere around Australia, with the shoot to take place in Melbourne. All travel costs will be covered. The shoot will be held in early June and will consist of one x 6–8-hour day, with time on set dependent on age.

National casting call submissions close 11.59PM 4 May, 2023.

Vegemite celebrates its 100th birthday this October 25.
