The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 3.6¢ to 194.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 29 October, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 4.6¢ to 192.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 1.8¢ to 199.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 215.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (202.3¢), Queensland (196.8¢), Western Australia (196.6¢), NSW/ACT (195.2¢), Victoria (191.9¢), and South Australia (190.5¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 188.2¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (189.8¢), Sydney (190.3¢), Perth (194.5¢), Brisbane (195.6¢), Hobart (197.8¢), Darwin (204.3¢), and Canberra (208.3¢).
