The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia rose 0.2¢ 202.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 28 April, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 0.2¢ to 200.6¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 0.1¢ to 203.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 220.4¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (207.3¢), NSW/ACT (203.2¢), Queensland (202.6¢), Victoria (201.9¢), South Australia (200.7¢), and Western Australia (198.8¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 194.9¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (197.6¢), Darwin (199.6¢), Sydney (200.4¢), Melbourne (201.9¢), Brisbane (202.2¢), Hobart (207.3¢), and Canberra (211¢).
