Weekly diesel prices

The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 1.1¢ to 234.3¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 20 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 1.3¢ to 233.3¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.9¢ to 235.2¢ a litre.

The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 250.4¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (243.2¢), Queensland (235.5¢), NSW/ACT (235¢), Victoria (233.8¢), South Australia (231¢), and Western Australia (229.6¢).

Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 226¢ a litre, followed by Perth (226.5¢), Sydney (233.2¢), Melbourne (234¢), Brisbane (235.8¢), Canberra (237.9¢), Darwin (239.1¢), and Hobart (243¢).
