Weekly petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 5.2¢ to 193.7¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 20 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 7.6¢ to 193.6¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.4¢ to 193.7¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 202.1¢ a litre, followed by NSW/ACT (198.1¢), Tasmania (195.1¢), Queensland (194.4¢), Victoria (193.3¢), Western Australia (189.3¢), and South Australia (179.8¢).

Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 176.7¢ a litre, followed by Perth (188.3¢), Canberra (188.4¢), Darwin (189.1¢), Hobart (194.5), Melbourne (195.2¢), Brisbane (196.7¢), and Sydney (198.7¢).
