The Coffee Club, in partnership with Black Bag Roasters, has announced that the international cafe chain has taken out Best Overall Chain / Large Franchise for their coffee blends in the Golden Bean World Series 2022, the largest and most prestigious global coffee-roasting competition, held in Kona, Hawaii over the weekend.
“The Coffee Club has been fuelling Australians every morning for over 33 years,” says The Coffee Club CEO Nick Bryden. “To have our sustainably sourced Signature Blend recognised as the best in the world by the Golden Bean Awards is a huge honour. We are so proud to be serving up 500,000 coffees of our delicious Melbourne-roasted blend each week.”
This comes after The Golden Bean World Series took place in the US coffee capital, Kona, Hawaii. The Coffee Club and Black Bag Roasters were propelled into the World Series smackdown after sweeping up five medals in the Australasian round, which had over 1200 entries.
“The Coffee Club taking out Best Overall Large Franchise / Chain truly speaks to the world-class coffee experience their customers are enjoying every day,” says coffee expert at Black Blag Roasters Leo Kavanagh. “We are proud to partner with The Coffee Club from crop to cup, roasting coffee beans that are not only beautifully balanced and award-winning but are enjoyed all over Australia.”
The international cafe chain reigned supreme after three days of extensive judging on their three best filter, espresso and milk-based coffee blends, by the best and most experienced roasting experts across the globe.
“To come out on top is a true testament to the quality of our coffee and Signature Blend, we are proud to have served this blend to Australians for over 33 years,” says The Coffee Club Australia co-Director John Lazarou.
“Golden Bean is the World’s Largest Coffee Roasting Competition and attracts the best of the best in the coffee roasting industry. It is one of the key elements in the growth of the coffee industry by way of rewarding the coffee roasters, the vital person in the chain for all coffee businesses.”
