PepsiCo adds more snacks to multipacks

PepsiCo Australia has increased the number of individual packs to eight units across the majority of its multipack snack range.

Consumers can now enjoy “more packs for more snacks” when purchasing multipacks of Smith’s, Parker’s, Twisties, Doritos, Grain Waves and Cheetos products.

Along with the 33% increase in pack units, the multipacks will also shift to a recyclable cardboard box, reducing plastic waste. The move will see PepsiCo remove a combined 35 tonnes of soft plastic from the waste ecosystem per year.

“Our multipack range is hugely popular – the move to eight packs is in response to feedback and we’re really proud to be on the front foot as consumer demand changes, giving Aussies more snacks for more occasions while also meeting shopper desire for less soft plastic,” says Alexia Horley, General Manager of Australia Foods at PepsiCo.

According to PepsiCo, the “handy, pantry-friendly” box can be stored in consumer’s pantries just like a cereal box and is designed to inspire creativity too. On the back of each pack, there’s a variety of re-use ideas that encourage both adults and kids to transform the box into fun or practical items.

The eight-pack multipacks are now available for purchase across Australia for RRP $6, or any two packs for RRP $9, via Coles and independent retailers.
