Australian fintech Hello Clever has joined forces with Tyro Payments to “revolutionise” the country’s loyalty rewards landscape.
Launching to around 70,000 Tyro merchants, shoppers can now redeem instant cashback rewards on everyday transactions in-store and online through Hello Clever. This includes Tyro’s extensive network of retailers and hospitality venues.

Hello Clever’s Real-Time Cashback Rewards addresses the complexities and perceived lack of value in traditional points-based systems, where over 54% of loyalty-based reward memberships are inactive.
Users can receive their rewards instantly, spend them immediately at participating outlets, and withdraw cashback rewards directly to their bank accounts almost instantly. Hello Clever’s Instant Cashback Rewards platform coupled with Tyro’s Loyalty API means customers get their money back within seconds vs up to 90 days for typical rewards programs.
The partnership is also said to bring great value to Tyro merchants, giving them a new way to instantly reward their customers, increasing loyalty and sales.
Established in 2020, Hello Clever has processed hundreds of thousands of card and Real-Time payments for Australian businesses, achieving 600% year-on-year growth in Q1 2024.
