M&M’s launches Mocha Mudcake flavour

M&M’s has introduced a new variant in Australia, Mocha Mudcake.

According to M&M’s, 75% of Australians drink coffee daily. Mocha Mudcake, says the brand, taps into Australia’s love for “permissible indulgence, combining our affection for coffee, chocolate and cake into the one heavenly bitesize treat”.

Mocha Mudcake, housed in M&M’s “iconic” crisp shell, features a mocha mud cake flavoured “fudgy” centre “smothered” in milk chocolate.

The new flavour variant has been created at Mars Wrigley’s Ballarat Innovation Hub and comes off the back of the company announcing a $28 million investment into its Ballarat operations earlier this year

“We know Australians love coffee,” says Mars Wrigley Marketing Director Ben Hill. “Our love and appreciation for coffee flavoured chocolate treats continues to grow year on year.

“Consumers are increasingly looking for innovation beyond just flavour, with texture becoming an increasing focal point to enhance the ‘eating experience’.

“As a company, we’ve been investing into the growth and development of our bitesize portfolio over the last few years, focusing on consumer-led innovation, and we’re now at a really exciting stage as we’re starting to see the products land on shelves across the country.”

M&M’s Mocha Mudcake (RRP $5.50) is available nationwide for a limited time only.
