Popcorn brand Cobs has introduced a new flavour combination, Chicago Mix, which it promotes as paying homage to the US city and its legends.
Featuring a blend of “sweet, buttery caramel and extra-tasty cheddar-cheese popcorn”, the mix is described as delivering a “big-city” flavour.
Cobs Fine Foods co-founder Ravit Walys says the new flavour was introduced to satisfy people looking for a unique flavour combination, and reflects Australia’s changing palate.
“More and more snack-food consumers are looking to combine flavours, and the popularity of sweet and savoury combinations continue to grow,” she said. “Our Chicago Mix is a perfect fit with our savoury cheese and buttery caramel, as well as the perfect blend that will tantalise both the sweet tooth and delight the savoury taste buds.”
Chicago Mix is gluten free and made with natural ingredients, and joins Cobs “favourites” such as Lightly Salted, Slightly Sweet, Sea Salt, and Aged White Cheddar.
Available in 175g packs, Chicago Mix has an RRP of $4.75.
