Forging ahead with plans to increase drive-through locations across Queensland, Australian-owned specialty coffee franchisor, Zarraffa’s Coffee, will be opening a new store in Pialba this week. 
The new Pialba store will be owned and operated by experienced local franchisees Bec and Chris Bee, who first brought Zarraffa’s to Hervey Bay, at the Bay Plaza Shopping Centre store, in 2009.
The new drive-through store is part of a new service centre development by Ray Developments and includes a Mobil petrol station, located at Shop 2, 12 Boat Harbour Drive Pialba, Queensland.
“We have long held a desire to operate a drive thru store in our hometown, understanding the need for greater convenience and now locals will be spoilt for choice,” Ms Bee said.
“Serving up our handcrafted coffee to more people, both in-store and on-the-go, is another chapter in our 11-year journey with Zarraffa’s.”
Zarraffa’s CEO Marne Sheldon said that Chris and Bec’s next steps are the beginning of an exciting new chapter of expansion for the company.
“Pialba is the perfect example of our franchisee partners operating in a store environment for a number of years and waiting for the right location to expand into a busier drive thru site.”
While the wider Zarraffa’s business contracted in stores numbers over the past 24 months, it has been part of a strategic plan to move away from shopping centre locations in order to progress major expansion plans.
“After introducing our drive thru model over a decade ago we have been keen to increase our store footprint in suburban areas, servicing locals with specialty coffee that is easy to access,” Ms Sheldon said.
She said the company has plans for the at least two more store openings before the end of the year, with a larger program of expansion to come.
“After weathering the effects of Covid across our territories, it’s a great feeling to be able to implement our expansion plans across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.”

Zarraffa’s Coffee Pialba is located at Shop 2, 12 Boat Harbour Drive, Pialba Queensland 4655. Opening hours are 5am-8pm, seven days a week.
