Weet-Bix reimagined by dessert king

Breakfast staple Sanitarium Weet-Bix has been given a delectable makeover without losing its health benefits thanks to MasterChef alumni and co-owner of KOI Dessert Bar Reynold Poernomo.

The proclaimed dessert king’s latest creation is called Weet-Bix Berrymisu – a dessert-inspired concoction of traditional breakfast ingredients including honey, So Good Almond Milk, yoghurt, fresh fruits and Weet-Bix.

“We always ask ‘how do you do yours?’ when it comes to Weet-Bix and Reynold was all too happy to lend his world-renowned dessert making creativity to answering this question,” Weet-Bix Senior Brand Manager Sarah Smyth said.

“Poernomo’s creation lets our taste buds reap the benefits of that Weet-Bix healthy goodness in the form of a delicious dessert-esque creation that offers a great start to the day or a boost outside of the traditional breakfast consumption window.”

Sanitarium is giving Australian residents over the age of 18 the chance to win a rare opportunity to attend a virtual masterclass with Poernomo, where he will teach how to make his Weet-Bix Berrymisu from scratch along with sharing some of his expert skills.

“I believe that virtually everyone has the power to create food beyond their wildest dreams and I plan to show winners of my Weet-Bix Berrymisu virtual masterclass that they can create this and other show-stopping desserts at home, no matter your experience level,” said Mr Poernomo.

The recipe will be made available to the lucky winners of a place in Poernomo’s online masterclass. To enter visit weetbix.com.au/reynoldmasterclass and complete the entry form before 10:00am, 28 August.
