Weekly petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia dropped 1.9¢ to 152.2¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 3, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price dropped 2.8¢ to 154.1¢ a litre, with the regional price rising 0.1¢ to 148.3¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in South Australia at 157.8¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (155.9¢), Northern Territory (155.6¢), Victoria (153.5¢), Queensland (153.1¢), NSW/ACT (151.4¢) and Western Australia (144.6¢).

Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 143.1¢ a litre, followed by Darwin (145.2¢), Canberra (148.0¢), Sydney (153.9¢), Hobart (156.0¢), Melbourne (156.1¢), Brisbane (156.2¢) and Adelaide (161.6¢).
