Weekly diesel prices

The average price of diesel fuel in Australia dropped to 149.7¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 3, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell by 0.1¢ to 148.5¢ a litre, while the regional price dropped to 150.8¢ a litre.

The most expensive diesel in the country was in the NT at 160.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (160.3¢), South Australia (150.0¢), Western Australia (149.9¢), NSW/ACT (149.6¢), Queensland (149.2¢) and Victoria (147.9¢).

Of the major cities, Darwin offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 145.0¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (145.9¢), Sydney (147.2¢), Perth (147.6¢), Melbourne (148.1¢), Brisbane (149.4¢) and Hobart (161.3¢).
