The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 11.1¢ to 195.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 6 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 14.8¢ to 199.6¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 3.8¢ to 188.5¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Victoria at 202.2¢ a litre, followed by the Northern Territory (202¢), Queensland (199¢), NSW/ACT (196.8¢), Tasmania (194¢), Western Australia (188.1¢), and South Australia (175.4¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 172¢ a litre, followed by Perth (186.8¢), Canberra (187.3¢), Darwin (189.4¢), Hobart (193.5¢), Sydney (202.3¢), Brisbane (206.1¢), and Melbourne (208.8¢).
