The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 7.4¢ to 190.2¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 30 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 10.5¢ to 190.7¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 1.2¢ to 189.3¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 199.7¢ a litre, followed by Queensland (196.6¢), Tasmania (192.6¢), Victoria (190.8¢), NSW/ACT (189.9¢), Western Australia (185.3¢), and South Australia (178.4¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 175.8¢ a litre, followed by Perth (184.2¢), Darwin (184.3¢), Sydney (190.1¢), Hobart (192¢), Melbourne (192.1¢), Canberra (195.4¢), and Brisbane (199.7¢).
