The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 4.8¢ to 184.8¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 30 October, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 6.8¢ to 184.8¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 0.5¢ to 184.7¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 202¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (194.6¢), Victoria (186.9¢), Western Australia (185.5¢), South Australia (185¢), NSW/ACT (183¢), and Queensland (182.6¢).
Of the major cities, Sydney offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 181.7¢ a litre, followed by Brisbane (182.2¢), Perth (183.2¢), Adelaide (184.8¢), Canberra (187.3¢), Melbourne (189.3¢), Darwin (189.7¢), and Hobart (194.4¢).
