The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 0.8¢ to 211.1¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 3 July, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 1.8¢ to 210.3¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 1.6¢ to 212.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Tasmania at 221.1¢ a litre, followed by the Northern Territory (218.8¢), NSW/ACT (212.8¢), Queensland (211.8¢), Western Australia (211.6¢), Victoria (209.3¢), and South Australia (204.2¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 202.5¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (208.7¢), Darwin (209.7¢), Perth (211¢), Sydney (211.2¢), Brisbane (212.2¢), Hobart (218.8¢), and Canberra (222¢).
