The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 13.3¢ to 193.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 3 April, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 16¢ to 190.3¢, while the regional price fell 7.7¢ to 199.7¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Tasmania at 210.3¢ a litre, followed by the Northern Territory (207.6¢), NSW/ACT (196.2¢), Queensland (193.7¢), Western Australia (192.6¢), Victoria (190.4¢), and South Australia (186¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 181.2¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (188.3¢), Perth (189.4¢), Brisbane (190.9¢), Sydney (193¢), Canberra (200¢), Darwin (202.3¢), and Hobart (213.6¢).
