Weekly petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 10.9¢ to 153¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 24, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 15.1¢ to 155.6¢ a litre, with the regional price falling 2.3¢ to 147.7¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Queensland at 159.3¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (156.1¢), Northern Territory (153.2¢), Victoria (152.8¢), NSW/ACT (151.4¢), South Australia (151.3¢) and Western Australia (147.1¢).
Of the major cities, Melbourne offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 143.1¢ a litre, followed by Perth (146.4¢), Canberra (147.8¢), Adelaide (152.1¢), Sydney (154.4¢), Melbourne (156.2¢), Hobart (156.2¢), and Brisbane (165.6¢).
