The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 6.6¢ to 187.1¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 27 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 8.6¢ to 185¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 2.2¢ to 191.5¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 201.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (194.4¢), NSW/ACT (190.1¢), South Australia (187.3¢), Queensland (186.1¢), Victoria (184.5¢), and Western Australia (183.8¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 182¢ a litre, followed by Melbourne (183.8¢), Brisbane (185.3¢), Sydney (185.8¢), Canberra (187.4¢), Adelaide (187.5¢), Darwin (188.4¢), and Hobart (193.6).
