The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia dropped 9.1¢ to 143.1¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 10, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price dropped 12.8¢ to 141.3¢ a litre, with the regional price falling 1.7¢ to 146.6¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Tasmania at 155.8¢ a litre, followed by Northern Territory (154.6¢), Victoria (144.7¢), Western Australia (143.6¢), NSW/ACT (141.8¢), Queensland (141.7¢) and South Australia (140.5¢).
Of the major cities, Sydney offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 138.1¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (138.6¢), Brisbane (139.8¢), Perth (141.9¢) Darwin (143.8¢), Melbourne (144.5¢), Canberra (147.6¢) and Hobart (155.9¢).
