Weekly petrol prices

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia fell 2.2¢ to 164.5¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 14 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 2.9¢ to 163.7¢, while the regional price fell 0.6¢ to 166.3¢ a litre.

The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 176.9¢ a litre followed by Tasmania (176.2¢), South Australia (167.1¢), Western Australia (166¢), NSW/ACT (164.5¢), Victoria (163.4¢), and Queensland (162.3¢),

Of the major cities, Brisbane offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 160.8¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (162.1¢), Melbourne (163.8¢), Perth (164.7¢), Adelaide (167.7¢), Darwin (169.3¢), Canberra (171.8¢), and Hobart (177.2¢).
