The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 1.9¢ to 110.5¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 7 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose by 2.7¢ to 110.0¢ a litre, with the regional price rising by 0.3¢ to 111.6¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in Northern Territory at 123.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (120.6¢), Queensland (118.3¢), Western Australia (112.5¢), NSW/ACT (108.1¢), Victoria (106.7¢), and South Australia (105.5¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 103.7¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (105.8¢), Melbourne (106.1¢), Darwin (109.2¢), Canberra (109.7¢), Perth (110.7¢), Hobart (120.5¢), and Brisbane (122.6¢).
