The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia rose 2.4¢ to 200.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 12 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 3.2¢ to 201.4¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 0.6¢ to 199.7¢ a litre.
The most expensive unleaded in the country was in the Northern Territory at 214.8¢ a litre, followed by NSW/ACT (208.6¢), Victoria (204.7¢), Tasmania (199.9¢), Western Australia (195.1¢), South Australia (194.3¢), and Queensland (189¢).
Of the major cities, Brisbane offered the cheapest unleaded for the week at 185.5¢ a litre, followed by Perth (193.1¢), Adelaide (194.2¢), Hobart (195.5¢), Darwin (202.5¢), Canberra (207.7¢), Melbourne (208.3¢), and Sydney (212.5¢).
