The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia rose 1.1¢ 193.6¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 30 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 1.4¢ to 192¢ a litre, while the regional price rose 0.8¢ to 194.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 211.5¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (195¢), Queensland (195¢), Victoria (194.5¢), NSW/ACT (193.7¢), South Australia (190.8¢), and Western Australia (188.3¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 184.5¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (185.8¢), Darwin (187.5¢), Sydney (191¢), Melbourne (193.6¢), Hobart (194¢), Brisbane (195.7¢), and Canberra (204.7¢).
