The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.9¢ to 195.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 30 April, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.9¢ 193.1¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 1¢ to 197.2¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 223.5¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (204.7¢), Queensland (196.1¢), NSW/ACT (196¢), Victoria (194.8¢), South Australia (191.4¢), and Western Australia (190.3¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 183.4¢ a litre, followed by Perth (186.3¢), Sydney (192.3¢), Melbourne (193.2¢), Brisbane (195.4¢), Canberra (201.8¢), Hobart (205¢), and Darwin (209¢).
