The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia remained at 203.1¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 3 March, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 0.2¢ to 201.6¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.2¢ to 204.3¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 220¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (207.7¢), Queensland (203.7¢), NSW/ACT (203.6¢), Victoria (202.2¢), South Australia (200.6¢), and Western Australia (200.4¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 196.5¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (197¢), Darwin (199.7¢), Sydney (200.7¢), Melbourne (202.7¢), Brisbane (203.8¢), Hobart (207¢), and Canberra (208.8¢).
