The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 4.1¢ to 209.9¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 26 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 4.3¢ to 208¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 4¢ to 211.4¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 226.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (216¢), Queensland (211.2¢), NSW/ACT (210.2¢), Victoria (209.6¢), Western Australia (209.6¢), and South Australia (203.5¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 198.2¢ a litre, followed by Perth (203.1¢), Sydney (206.2¢), Melbourne (208.4¢), Darwin (208.5¢), Brisbane (211.5¢), Hobart (212.2¢), and Canberra (215¢).
