The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.9¢ 182.7¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 25 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 1¢ 180.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.8¢ to 184.8¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 213.5¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (184.8¢), NSW/ACT (183.6¢), Queensland (183.3¢), Victoria (182.4¢), South Australia (179.7¢), and Western Australia (177.9¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 171.9¢ a litre, followed by Perth (173¢), Sydney (179.3¢), Melbourne (180.4¢), Brisbane (182.8¢), Hobart (183.8¢), Canberra (192.5¢), and Darwin (199.2¢).
