The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 3.7¢ to 214¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 19 November, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 3.8¢ to 212.3¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 3.7¢ to 215.4¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 231.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (221¢), Queensland (214.9¢), NSW/ACT (214.1¢), Victoria (213.7¢), Western Australia (211¢), and South Australia (209.6¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 206.3¢ a litre, followed by Perth (207.4¢), Sydney (210.5¢), Melbourne (213¢), Brisbane (215¢), Darwin (215.7¢), Hobart (218.3¢), and Canberra (219.9¢).
