The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.9¢ 183.6¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 18 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 1¢ 181.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.7¢ to 185.6¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 213.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (184.9¢), NSW/ACT (184.4¢), Queensland (184.4¢), Victoria (183.4¢), South Australia (180.6¢), and Western Australia (178.6¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 172.7¢ a litre, followed by Perth (173.5¢), Sydney (180.5¢), Melbourne (181.7¢), Brisbane (183.9¢), Hobart (184.1¢), Canberra (193.1¢), and Darwin (199.4¢).
