Weekly diesel prices

The average price of diesel fuel in Australia rose 0.5¢ to 154.6¢ a litre nationally in the week ending June 10, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 0.6¢ to 155.2¢ a litre, with the regional price up 0.5¢ to 154.2¢ a litre.

The most expensive diesel in the country was in the NT at 165.2¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (161¢), WA (156.9¢), Queensland (154.3¢), Victoria (154.1¢), NSW/ACT (153.4¢) and SA (152.3¢).

Of the major cities, Sydney offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 151.9¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (152.2¢), Darwin (154.8¢), Melbourne (155.2¢), Brisbane (155.8¢), Perth (156.8¢), Canberra (157¢) and Hobart (160.6¢).
