The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia rose 19.1¢ to 202.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 13 March, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price rose 19.1¢ to 201.7¢ a litre, while the regional rose 19¢ to 202.9¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 209.6¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (209.5¢), Victoria (203.6¢), South Australia (202.9¢), Queensland (202.7¢), NSW/ACT (201.8¢), and Western Australia (198.6¢),
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 197¢ a litre, followed by Sydney (201¢), Melbourne (201.6¢), Adelaide (203.6¢), Brisbane (204.1¢), Canberra (206.7¢), Darwin (206.7¢), and Hobart (210.1¢).
