The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.2¢ 184.5¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 11 June, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.3¢ 182.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.3¢ to 186.3¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 215.4¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (186.1¢), Queensland (185.4¢), NSW/ACT (185.1¢), Victoria (184.3¢), South Australia (181.3¢), and Western Australia (179.4¢).
Of the major cities, Adelaide offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 173.4¢ a litre, followed by Perth (174.5¢), Sydney (181.3¢), Melbourne (182.8¢), Brisbane (185.2¢), Hobart (185.2¢), Canberra (193.2¢), and Darwin (201.4¢).
