The average weekly diesel fuel price in Australia fell 0.1¢ to 235.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending 10 July, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.
The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell 0.1¢ to 234.2¢ a litre, while the regional price fell 0.1¢ to 236.4¢ a litre.
The most expensive diesel in the country was in the Northern Territory at 245.3¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (243.3¢), Victoria (236.1¢), NSW/ACT (235.7¢), Queensland (235.4¢), South Australia (234.5¢), and Western Australia (231.6¢).
Of the major cities, Perth offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 229.4¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (232.2¢), Sydney (233.2¢), Brisbane (235¢), Melbourne (236.4¢), Canberra (237¢), Darwin (237.5¢), and Hobart (241.8¢).
