Weekly diesel prices

The average price of diesel fuel in Australia rose by 0.0¢ to 151.4¢ a litre nationally in the week ending June 2, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Diesel Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price fell by 0.1¢ to 150.5¢ a litre, while the regional price fell by 0.1¢ to 152.1¢ a litre.

The most expensive fuel in the country was in the NT at 163.9¢ a litre, followed by Tasmania (160.9¢), WA (153¢), NSW/ACT (151.2¢), SA (151.2¢), Queensland (150.8¢) and Victoria (148.9¢).

Of the major cities, Darwin offered the cheapest diesel for the week at 148.5¢ a litre, followed by Adelaide (149.1¢), Melbourne (149.2¢), Sydney (149.2¢), Perth (151.3¢), Brisbane (151.3¢), Canberra (154.3¢) and Hobart (160.7¢).
