Wage Rate 2023-2024 update

The Fair Work Commission, building on the National Wage Case Decision (https://acapmag.com.au/2023/06/national-wage-case-2023-implications/), has released the Draft Determinations for comment. These are the instruments that, when finalised, will actually change the Awards and result in the actual new rates. As fuel industry rates include ‘hand set’ rates the Final Determinations are required in order to create certainty around the coming rates.

The Determinations are in draft mode because they are open for comment until 16:00 Friday 16/6/2023. This means that they are subject to change, and they have changed regularly in the past. ACAPMA will be circulating the Award Quick Reference Guides on the Monday 19/6/2023 or Tuesday 20/6/2023, once the Final Determinations are made.

ACAPMA will circulate the;

  • ACAPMA Award Wage Rate Quick Reference Guides
  • ACAPMA Letter of Offer Packs for Casual and Permanent Staff
  • ACAPMA Confirmation of Employment Packs for Casual and Permanent Staff
  • ACAPMA IFA Guides, Tools, Calculators and Templates for Retail and Transport Staff
  • ACAPMA Engaging Casuals Guide
  • ACAPMA Juniors Guide
  • ACAPMA Staff Award Summary Posters
  • As well as the full suite of ACAPMA Guides.

To the registered Principle Member contact at that time. If there are others in the ACAPMA Member business that the Principle would like to receive this direct resource communication they can be added to an Authorised Recipient list on request.

“The ACAPMA rules limit the communication of the Guides at this time to direct to the person that is the listed Principle Member, which is usually the CEO or General Manager. We understand that others within the business, such as HR or Payroll may also like to get this communication direct, rather than wait for it to filter through the CEOs massive inbox. To address this each year at this time we open an Authorised Recipient list for approved internal member contacts to be added to in order to receive the direct communication”, explains ACAPMA’s Elisha Radwanowski.

“It’s not as hard as it sounds, just pop an email through to the Employment Team either from the Principle Member identifying the contact to add, or from the contact cc the Principle Member.”

Draft Determinations

  • Clerks Private Sector Award 2020
  • Road Transport and Distribution Award 2020
  • Vehicle Repair Service and Retail Award 2020
