The Coffee Club has donated $20,000 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation in support of the Nine Telethon to help sick children.
“We have proudly supported the Nine Telethon, and sick children like Eloise, for many years. The cause is close to our hearts, and we have been so happy to be involved and make a difference again in 2022,” says The Coffee Club co-founder John Lazarou.
Throughout April, The Coffee Club partnered with the Children’s Hospital Foundation and their patient ambassador, Eloise, to sell $2 tokens in store and facilitate direct donations from customers to support the fundraising.
On behalf of The Coffee Club, Mr Lazarou presented a cheque for $20,000 in a live-cross from the Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane on the night of the Nine Telethon on 23 April.
“With the help of our fantastic Franchisees, Team Members and the generosity of our amazing customers, The Coffee Club is proud to present a cheque of $20,000 to the team at the Children’s Hospital Foundation to help make a difference in the lives of sick children across Queensland,” Mr Lazarou said.
The Coffee Club’s $20,000 pledge closed the Telethon live viewing on the Nine network.
“With the help of Queenslanders and our incredible Coffee Club customers fundraising efforts, the Children’s Hospital Foundation was able to raise an incredible $14,360,629 that will help make a difference in the lives of QLD’s youngest patients and their families,” Mr Lazarou said.
