Sunny Queen commits to a sustainable future

Sunny Queen Australia has released its first ‘Sustainability Strategic Plan’ built around the five goals of:

  • Zero hunger
  • Good health and wellbeing
  • Decent work and economic growth
  • Responsible consumption and production
  • Climate action

According to the company, its plan aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and focuses on addressing the five goals where it sees the greatest opportunity to have a positive impact on the future of its people, planet, and communities.

Sunny Queen’s ‘Sustainability Strategic Plan’ commits to 30 actions for its business practices to tackle hunger, protect the climate, reduce waste, and promote the health and wellbeing of people and communities now and in the future.

“As a leader in the Australian egg industry, Sunny Queen is committed to working towards a sunnier tomorrow with our 2023-2030 strategy,” says Sunny Queen CEO and Managing Director Julie Proctor.

“We’re integrating sustainability initiatives into our day-to-day activities to reduce our impact on the planet while continuing to provide healthy and nutritious food to millions of people every day.

“We understand the responsibility that we have to our people, our hens, our customers, and our communities, to strive to continuously improve all our practices and create a sunnier tomorrow, for the benefit of all.”
