SPAR customers in Italy can now receive their groceries within 35 minutes thanks to a new partnership.
The “quick commerce” service from SPAR Italy regional operator, Maiora, and multi-category home delivery platform, Glovo, ensures a fast delivery service seven days a week during store opening hours.
The partnership currently covers 16 DESPAR, EUROSPAR, and INTERSPAR stores in 12 cities. This number is set to increase to 21 stores in 14 cities by the end of the year.
According to Maiora, the service enhances the company’s e-commerce platform, DESPAR A Casa.
“SPAR seeks to expand its omnichannel solutions to meet evolving shopping patterns,” says the company. “Today’s customers increasingly opt for delivery not just of restaurant meals but also of grocery shopping.”
Maiora DESPAR Centro Sud CRM and E-commerce Manager Alessandro Pugliese says the agreement with Glovo will allow Maiora to expand its digital touchpoints and enhance daily shopping experiences for current and prospective customers.
