Mobility technology provider Carbar is offering its subscribers an ongoing 4c per litre fuel discount at participating Shell petrol stations.
This is thanks to an “Australian-first” partnership between Carbar and Viva Energy.
Active Carbar subscribers can save up to 18c per litre when combining this offer with the Coles supermarkets 4c per litre docket discount and the ‘Spend $20 get 10c per litre fuel discount’ at Shell Coles Express service stations.
The discount can be redeemed via Carbar’s CarbarConnect app.
Carbar co-founder and CEO Des Hang says it’s always been the company’s vision to find new ways to reward and delight its subscribers.
“Part of this is finding further ways to add value to being a car subscriber,” he says.
“This partnership and resulting fuel discount is a key milestone in this endeavour and we will look to roll out more offers over time.
“When you factor in hidden costs, like depreciation, subscription is already better value than ownership. But with this arrangement, in addition to our loyalty program which reduces the cost of your subscription over time, we’re further tipping that scale and cementing the trend’s spot in the Australian auto sector.”
Viva Energy Executive General Manager for Consumer Megan Foster says the ways people move is evolving and changing.
“We are proud to be partnering with Carbar, an innovator in the mobility sector,” she says.
“Their car subscription service provides a new option for people looking at flexible and cost-effective ways to access a vehicle.
“Being able to fill up with quality Shell fuels at a discounted price is a great addition to their subscription.”
