Petrol price update

The average price of unleaded petrol in Australia increased 0.1¢ to 126.3¢ a litre nationally in the week ending November 29, according to the Australian Institute of Petroleum’s ‘Weekly Petrol Prices’ report.

The average national weekly metropolitan retail price increased 0.5¢ to 125.2¢ a litre, with the regional price decreasing 0.6¢ a litre to 128.7¢ a litre.

The most expensive fuel in the country was in Tasmania at 134.1¢ a litre, followed by the NT (130.4¢), NSW/ACT (128.9¢), Queensland (128.7¢), WA (125.7¢), SA (124.3¢), and Victoria (121.1¢).

Of the major cities, Melbourne offered the cheapest fuel for the week at 120.3¢ a litre, followed by Perth (122.8¢), Adelaide (123.7¢), Brisbane (127.8¢), Darwin (128.0¢), Canberra (128.1¢), Sydney (129.1¢), and Hobart (133.9¢).
