Rebranded as an independent store in July 2021 with new owner Gurnik Singh aiming to offer something that would truly stand out, the Ampol Sunrise Parklea store fits the bill.
Working closely with Mr Singh and Ampol, New Sunrise Marketing and Brand Manager Andrew Cardinale proposed an impactful modern brand identity that uniquely defined the store, its competitive advantage and its values as a true independently owned and family-operated local store.
“We aimed to bring the community values back to the local convenience store,” he says, “while providing a clean, family friendly shopping experience.”
Given Ampol Sunrise Parklea’s location on Old Windsor Road, on which 90,000 vehicles pass the site each day, Mr Singh says it’s “pivotal to have great customer service and cleanliness from pumps to in-store”.
Commenting on the success of the site that now averages 740 customers a day, he points to the many positive comments from customers that the rebrand has attracted.
“They love our family friendly service,” he says. “They love that the store is run and owned by a local. [We’re also] praised for [our] extensive in-store range and fresh modern branding.”
