Local Legends has served up a new look for its popular, protein-packed snack.
The bright, colourful new packaging – one colour for each flavour – has now been released in large, 75g packets, in line with the smaller 25g variety.
The motivation behind the overhaul, according to Local Legends Marketing Manager Michael Langtry, was to emphasise the jerky’s 40 per cent natural protein, helping consumer decision-making in a competitive category.
“Local Legends uses only the finest cuts of premium Australian meat that is high in protein and low in fat, and the newly designed packaging is key in communicating this message,” Mr Langtry said.
The new packaging is supported on social media through the company’s Legend Society – a group of elite and aspiring athletes who, the brand says, “share a mutual hunger for living life to the fullest”.
The redesign is another step in the evolution of New World Foods-owned Local Legends, whose Char Siu Pork Jerky and Nice ‘N’ Spicy Jerky hit the shelves of supermarket Coles last month, joining the fan-favourite Original Beef Jerky.
