Since announcing the return of its Spicy Yucatan Chicken burrito menu item last month, Mad Mex customers have told the Mexican restaurant chain to “turn up the heat even more”.
Accepting the challenge, Mad Mex is launching the new Fiery Yucatan Fiesta Burrito today (17 August).
The Fiery Yucatan Fiesta Burrito “doubles down” on the spice of the original Spicy Yucatan Chicken and includes a regular tortilla, brown rice, black beans, spicy Yucatan chicken, two servings of picante (spicy) salsa, sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce and jalapeno pickles.
To celebrate the release, Mad Mex has partnered exclusively with DoorDash. Today, 750 free burritos are up for grabs through DoorDash and the Mad Mex app.
Commenting on the product, Mad Mex founder and Managing Director Clovis Young says: “Since re-launching Spicy Yucatan Chicken, we’ve received feedback from our amigos that it’s not hot enough, so we’ve created a unique burrito with bite – and with a twist too.”
The launch of the Fiery Yucatan Fiesta Burrito continues Mad Mex’s commitment of producing “authentic, great tasting” Mexican. The new menu rollout is part of the Mexican chain’s growth and NPD plan, with the vision to grow stores 20% annually and 100 stores by 2026.
