Over 40% of Everyday Rewards members participating in Bank for Christmas redeemed their rewards, cashing in over $28 million worth of Bank for Christmas dollars that were unlocked last month.
Bank for Christmas enables members to save their loyalty points all year, which then become available as money off their shopping at participating retailers from mid-November until 31 December.
Hannah Ross, Managing Director of Everyday Rewards says Bank for Christmas is one of the best ways members can save up value through the year to spend on their Christmas shop.
“During this time of year, we know members are looking for the best value possible, and, what better way to take the stress out of Christmas by using your Bank for Christmas savings to spend on Christmas gifts or food for the holiday season ahead,” she said.
Saving Christmas 2025
This year, more than 800,000 Everyday Rewards members chose to bank their points to spend over Christmas. Members can continue to top up their balances as they head towards Christmas with members receiving over $120 on average.
Everyday Rewards Bank for Christmas members have redeemed across Woolworths, BIG W, BWS and other partners stocking up on gifts and goodies for Christmas. Members enjoyed extra savings by redeeming their banked dollars at Black Friday sale events.
Victorian based Everyday Rewards member, Amanda, a.k.a. Bargain Boss, banked nearly $1000 through the program and is planning to spend it at BIG W and Woolworths closer to Christmas.
“I banked nearly a thousand dollars with Bank for Christmas this year, and honestly, it’s the reason I’m not stressing about last-minute shopping for presents and groceries,” she said.
“Having that little stash sitting there ready means I can make Christmas feel magical for my kids. It keeps the panic-buying at bay because you’re using funds you’ve quietly saved all year – not dipping into your weekly budget.”
Still time to save
Ms Ross says there is still plenty of time to redeem Bank for Christmas this festive season.
“If members want to join the program for next year, they can simply opt in at any time through the Everyday Rewards app or visit the website,” she added.
In the run up to Christmas, Everyday Rewards members can also enjoy exclusive daily offers with Christmas Unwrapped, available for all 14 million members via Everyday Rewards online or in the app.
Until 14 December, Everyday Rewards expect members to collect millions of points during the promotion with valuable offers from Everyday Rewards partners.
So far, offers have included collecting 5x points on purchases at Everyday Shop, collecting 10x points on fresh berries, prawns and seasonal Christmas bakery products at Woolworths and collecting 5x points storewide when customers spend $50 or more at BIG W.
