Life Savers supports beach safety with $300k donation

Life Savers has renewed its partnership with Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA), announcing a new three-year pledge.

Following a successful summer campaign last year with singer and swimmer Cody Simpson, Life Savers has pledged to donate $300,000 to SLSA over the next three years to help provide crucial education on water safety and surf rescue services.

The partnership includes a newly launched range of limited-edition packs of Life Savers Stix, Pastilles and Fruit Tingles packaging in collaboration with SLSA.

In addition, Life Savers has been taking over beaches across NSW and Queensland throughout February, giving out Life Savers products and limited-edition hats with “fun-filled” beach activities like ring toss.

SLSA Head of Fundraising and Commercial John Brennan says the organisation is thrilled to announce this partnership with Life Savers to further efforts to educate beachgoers and ensure the safety of as many as possible.

“Last year’s campaign was a big success and allowed SLSA to provide vital services on Australian beaches, keeping them fun and safe for everyone to enjoy,” he says.

“We encourage Aussies to join us on our beaches in NSW to participate in Life Savers’s beach activations throughout February. We all need to work together to ensure the safety of everyone at the beach.”

Life Savers Senior Marketing Manager Jodi Teasdale says the brand is proud to continue its partnership with SLSA for the next three summers, following a donation of $100,000 last year.

“As a way of saying thanks for our customers’ unwavering support,” she says, “we’re giving Life Savers fans the chance to win a $5000 holiday or one of 1000 limited-edition bucket hats this summer.”

To enter the draw, shoppers can simply upload the receipts for two or more packs of Life Savers confectionery products at lifesaverssummer.com.au.
