Robina Town Centre joins forces with local retailers and hospitality partners to assist the growing pressures facing local communities.
This month, for the second consecutive year, Robina Town Centre in Queensland will present its Jobs Fair from 12-16 September offering prospective candidates the opportunity to access over 60 potential local jobs ahead of the busy Christmas retail period.
The Robina Town Centre Jobs Fair provides a wide range of full-time, part-time, and casual positions across the retail spectrum, encompassing fashion and lifestyle brands, as well as local food and beverage vendors. Camilla, Seed Heritage, Daiso, Boost Juice and Myer are just some of the retailers who have expressed interest in taking part at the Robina Town Centre event this year.
The Jobs Fair will connect local people with a range of prospective jobs and provide access to both virtual and on-site recruitment support services.
Robina Town Centre General Manager Matt Powis says the event comes at a crucial time for both job seekers and retail partners with the retail sector having over 32,000 job vacancies nationally.
“Following the tremendous success of last year’s event at Robina Town Centre, we are thrilled to see the Jobs Fair return this year to assist local individuals looking for work. Right now, there are a significant number of roles to fill, and we hope our Jobs Fair event helps alleviate the pressures faced by our retailers and local prospective job seekers as we approach the busy Christmas period,” Mr Powis said.
Event Cinemas Robina Liam Cruz participated in the inaugural Jobs Fair event held last year.
“From our end it was extremely successful – we had 14 new quality team members inducted who then joined the team, so it was absolutely well worth it for us,” Mr Cruz said.
Recent research indicates that almost one million Australians are working multiple jobs, a 10 per cent increase compared to 2022. Monthly hours worked have also risen significantly, with Australians now working over 1.9 million hours per month. This trend may be attributed to the rising cost of living, as Living Cost Indexes have increased by 9.6 per cent over the past twelve months.
In a first for Robina Town Centre, the upcoming Jobs Fair will feature Feros Care as a key partner, expanding its reach to include recruitment support for the care and disability services.
