Grill’d is set to open its first-ever drive-through restaurant in Western Australia on Saturday, 13 December.
Located at 9 Herdsman Lane, Wanneroo, the new restaurant marks Grill’d’s 176th venue nationally and the 29th restaurant in Western Australia. The brand has been part of the Western Australian community for 15 years and says it’s excited to expand its footprint across Perth.
To celebrate the restaurant opening, the first 754 customers will be treated to a free burger, a nod to the brand’s first-ever restaurant at 754 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn in Melbourne 21 years ago. In a double celebration, Relish loyalty program members can enjoy $10 burgers across the opening weekend.
Grill’d founder and Managing Director Simon Crowe says the opening marks an exciting step towards the chain’s goal of reaching 300 restaurants nationally by 2029.
“We’re committed to giving Australians easier access to fresh, healthy burgers made with premium local ingredients, and now Western Australian locals can enjoy that experience with the added convenience of a drive through,’ he says.
Wanneroo will be the fourth Grill’d drive through restaurant across Australia.
Grill’d General Manager WA Aimee Edwards says Wanneroo is one of Perth’s fastest-growing communities and the ideal home for Grill’d’s first Western Australian drive through.
“Along with giving locals convenient access to their favourite burgers, this new restaurant will also bring real benefits to the area by creating 50 local jobs,” she says.
“Like every Grill’d restaurant, Wanneroo will have its own Local Matters program, supporting local sporting clubs, charities and community groups every month. We’re supporting Wanneroo Bush Fire Brigade and Twelve Tone Music Academy in the first month to contribute to initiatives that make a meaningful impact on the community.”
